Thank you so much for your prayers and kind words. Will and I are especially grateful for those of you who have prayed for us as well as Mike. We have had a rough 24 hours but I am not sure how much I should say about it on a public blog. I'll leave it as we only want the best care for Mike and to try to make sure his wishes are followed out and between making difficult decisions and dealing with a lot of different personalities that can be very stressful.

Mike has had 3 surgeries in 3 days. During the second surgery they successfully removed the mass but he lost a kidney and part of his aorta. Last night there was a third surgery to deal with a problem with his colon. We were expecting a call afterwards to be told how that surgery went but didn't get one so we went to the hospital this morning and got to see him for the first time and talk to his nurse. He is heavily medicated and on a ventilator but stable at this point. The nurse expects him to be in ICU at least the rest of the week. That is all we were able to find out but it was good to see him. We don't know if we are being eased out of the loop for receiving information or if it was just an oversight. For now we have decided the best thing to do is wait and call his nurse daily to see how he is doing.

These situations can sure bring out the best and the worst in people. Continuing prayers for all of you. Hugs

One of my daily prayers is that angels surround my family and friends...today, I will add Mike to that list.
