After four long days of work I was ready for some fun today. We originally planned to go see Harry Potter but then my friend talked us into going to the casino. We had a great time and came home with only $5 less than we started out with after playing the slots for a couple of hours, buying Starbucks eggnog lattes and KrispyKreme donuts and a bunch of Yankee candles in holiday fragrances.
DH has been especially sweet this weekend when it comes to buying stash. On Saturday morning the chart for Kimono Kitty came in the mail which I plan to stitch for him. It takes about 50 colors of DMC. I decided to buy separate floss for this project. It is going to take me a long time to stitch it and I don't want to keep having to borrow colors when I work on ornaments and such. Joannes had DMC 5 for $1 with a limit of 30 skeins and it was the last day of the sale. DH drove me to two different stores and helped me find all the colors before I had to be at work.
The other day I sent my mom pictures of several funny cross stitch patterns I found in the November new releases. She wrote back today asking if she could borrow them if I had bought any of them which I hadn't. DH saw the email and said good now I know what to get her for Christmas and placed an order for 3 of them. He is such a sweetie.

I just took a peek at your Castle Sampler. Your work looks great. I'm working on the same project, but have done most of the left side and bottom of the piece. Between the two of us, we have a nearly-complete piece!
