My Favorite Things

June 21, 2007

I've done some stitching this month. We found you can rent all the PBS house series from Netflix so we've been having marathons and I stitch while we watch. So far we've watched 1940's House and 1900's House and are currently watching Regency House Party.

This is Brittercup's Brothery Love (I used the Best Buddies option.) I stitched in memory of Chessie and Brutus. The tray was a wonderful find at Goodwill for $1.99. It had a needlepoint piece with someone's monogram on it that I removed. The beautiful green fabric goes so well with our bedroom walls which we recently painted a pale green called "cat grass".

This is a Current Critters design from a kit that goes in a Christmas card.

This cute French kitty was so fun to stitch. I had a skein of Vicki Clayton Garnet silk left over from a project which was just perfect for it. As you can see I haven't even found time to iron this yet and I am still thinking about how to finish it.

And finally here is Woolly in his June blanket. It's almost time to start the July one.

We think alike! A friend steered me to your blog because she saw that I was working on several of the pieces which you had finished! I also just finished Brotherly Love and I'm working on the French cat now. I love the way you finished the Britty Kitty!! How lucky for you to come across that tray. It looks great!
