Do you stitch Christmas ornaments? If so, how many do you stitch each year and for whom? If not, why not?
I enjoy stitching ornaments. They work up quickly and I get the chance to stitch something by designers I like but haven't had time to stitch anything they've done that's larger.
This past week I have stitched two ornaments for exchanges. One is done and I should finish the other tonight while I watch Survivor. I'll probably start a second one of this design for myself. A couple of years ago I marked all the ornments I liked in the JCS magazines and I have been working my way through them. Once I finish this one for the exchange I can get back to work on one for myself and post a photo.
I don't have a set number to stitch each year but I do stitch one with the date each year. I've collected ornaments with the date ever since I was a teen.

Thank you for visiting my blog. In fact you are in my list of blogs where i read often...only thing is i seldom leave comments..so shame to say that..will try to do so in future.
Isn't so much fun to collect ornaments? I've done it too since I was a young girl and it's always a special treat to me to go back and look at the ornament and year to remember what I did that season, that's one of the reasons I cross stitch a yearly ornie for each of my kids and nephews/neices each year...so that once they have their own home they can have a big box of dated ornies to hang on their tree and perhaps remember their dear ol' mother and/or auntie with smile :D
P.S. this comment is long overdue...I'm catching up on my blog reading :)
