SBQ, an update, and a minor rant

First the SBQ...

How did you decide on the title of your stitching blog? Was it random,
or does it have a special meaning to you or about you?

The title of my blog is a spoof on a bumpersticker I saw while trying to come up with a title. You've probably seen them too, they say things like "I'd rather be fishing" or "I'd rather be golfing". I happened to see one on a car when I was driving to work and thought I would rather be at home stitching than going to work.

...and an update...

I appreciate your kind comments about my sinus headaches in my last post. I'm almost afraid to post that I feel good today for fear I will jinx it. The only stitchy thing I have done recently is to start looking at ornament patterns for the exchanges on the USA and SBEBB boards now that I know who my partners are.

I found a treasure at Goodwill today. Three packages of unopened high quality white pillowcases for $2.99 each. I have been admiring some of the vintage transfer embroidery designs with crayon tinting Pam Kellogg has been doing on her blog. Now I have some pillowcases that I can afford to goof up on as I learn.

...and a minor rant.

Someone from my work mentioned the company and someone that works there in their blog and it has started a witch hunt. If it were important the company legal department would have stepped in. Instead several employees are wasting an awful lot of company time on company computers looking up everyone's blogs to see if they mention them or our workplace while everyone else has to work harder and pick up the slack. It's too bad management won't put a stop to it. Not only are they wasting time they are taking the fun out of blogging as my co-workers worry about things they have written being mis-interpreted or ridiculed.

Ok rant over. Everyone have a nice weekend. I'm going to try to get a little stitching done this afternoon.

I was getting awful debilitating sinus headaches related to the change in season and likely also leaf mold allergies. Dr. gave me a prescription for Nasonex--2 little shots of that a day in the nostrils (it's a mild steroid and it's not habit-forming like over the counter nasal spray). Now I very seldom have the headaches--hugely improved my life!

Hi Chris - hope you will post pictures of those pillow cases once you complete one of them!

I'm working on ornament exchanges too, just like you!
