My Favorite Things

My Favorite Things

September 28, 2006

I was bored and gave my blog a "Barbie" pink makeover today. I'm tired of stitching with shades of brown, rust, orange and green for autumn and Halloween exchanges. Autumn is my favorite season and I really love autumn colors but I've done so much stitching this past month that I don't want to look at them for a while. I have no pictures to share since everything I've stitched is for these exchanges.

I really should dig out one of my big projects and make a real effort to try and get as much done as I can before the end of the year. I can't decide which one. Today I haven't stitched at all but I did pull out my knitting. I'm working on a cat bed using thick blue chenille yarn. It isn't taking long at all so I may have it done by the end of the weekend.

We haven't done anything interesting to write about in ages. I'm trying to talk Will into taking a drive into Boston soon to do something fun. He's willing to do something fun it's just the drive into Boston neither of us like. My friend Mike just finished another round of chemo last week. Over the weekend he looked terrible - his skin was grey and he looked like he had no blood in him. He's had to have a blood transfusion and ivs of potassium and other fluids and now he looks a little more human. This month he has doctor's apointments almost every other day. They are doing every test they can and hopefully there will be no more chemo and they will schedule his surgery within the next 4 or 5 weeks.

I like the new look... Hope you get the cat bed finished. It will be getting cold soon.
